- Is my Facebook page enough, or am I missing out?
- It’s good to have, but it mostly reaches people who use Facebook and have an account. To reach other customers, you need a place of your own. A website is a good option, because no one else decides who gets to see it.
- Would it be easier to build it myself?
- It can look easy, but getting it right takes hours you may not have. The cheaper plans limit what you can do, and the more you need, the more you pay each month. The domain can usually be moved, but the site itself can’t, so leaving means starting over.
- I’m not happy with the company that built my site. Am I stuck?
- Not for good. The site itself usually can’t come with you, so I build you a new one. Your domain can come too if it’s in your name. If it’s in theirs, we start fresh with a new one. Either way, everything ends up in your name, and you’re not tied to anyone.
- What’s this going to cost me after it’s built?
- Just your domain, which renews once a year. Hosting is usually free for a site like yours. If you ever want changes, I’ll tell you the cost before I start.
